First, Bar Harbor must be in the list of destinations just because  this place is not overrun with tourism which is not a secret. Today, plenty of visitors prefer to kayak, to explore Acadia National Park, to go bird- or whale-watching or just simply to enjoy salty sea air and sandy beaches. Acadia National Park which is closely situated to it makes a real paradise for tourists as it about 50 square miles of lakes, mountains, lakes, biking, hiking views and dramatic coastline.

Who is this destination for? Nature lovers, history buffs, photographers, or anyone wanting to get oriented with Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park can appreciate the knowledge and experience of these types of tours.

How and when to get there? It is warmly recommended to travel during the summer months. Then, when getting to Acadia one of the best decisions is to have a drive by bus. If you've taken the bus tour you can get a good sense of Acadia and see some of the park's main highlights along the way: Sand Beach, Otter Cliffs, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, and Cadillac Mountain. What we highly recommend you is just to sit, relax, and let them teach you about the human and natural history of this exceptional locale.  Whether you are here for the day, or an extended period, there is no better way to start your visit!

Cadillac Mountain is a must l but at the same time is the most crowded. A huge variety of restrooms in the park is a plus. You can took a trail from Sand Beach. This is much more challenging so just be ready to walk up cliffs and steep inclines. The views off the cliffs are simply gorgeous.

After visiting the main highlights drive back to Bar Harbor via Seal Cove, the island's super-exclusive neighborhood filled with big private homes, and you can finish your day having a meal at the Reading Room Restaurant at the Bar Harbor Inn. The vibe is classic and splendide (and probably too much so for some), but the views and the food are just awesome..

If you have already visited the island, just welcome back. But if your are first time visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, let the adventure begin. Experiences in this Maine vacation spot that will become cherished and beamy memories, and we are sure in it.
